COMPUTER
Introduction: A computer is an
electronic machine which takes data through input device then processes them
and generates its result through output device. The word “computer” came from
the word ‘compute’ which means ‘calculate’.
Functionalities
of Computer:

takes data as input,

stores the data into the memory and uses them when required,
(iii) It processes
the data and converts these into useful information and
(iv)It
generates the output of the given input by the users.

Unlike human beings, a computer is free from tiredness, monotony and lack of
concentration and it can do repeated work with same speed and accuracy without
error.
(v)Versatility: A computer is a very versatile
machine and it is used to solve the problems related to various fields.
(vi) Reliability:
A computer is a very reliable machine and it is designed to make maintenance
easy.
(vii) Automation:
Automation
means ability to perform the given task automatically. So, computer is an automatic
machine.
